Job summary

TJ O'Mahony Navan on Commons Road seeks a Permanent, Full-Time Truck Driver / Yard Operative to join our team. You will deliver product by van, perform daily vehicle checks, and handle stock in the yard with care.

This role requires a full clean driving license and a C1 licence, good knowledge of the local area, strong customer service, and the ability to work to schedules in a busy retail/DIY environment.

Qualifications

TJ O' Mahony Navan, Commons Road, Navan, Co. Meath, C15 F799, part of HPC Sales Ltd., Irelands' leading Builders Providers and Home Improvement/DIY Store, is looking for a Permanent, Full-Time, Truck Driver / Yard Operative to join our Team.

Job Purpose: Van Driver / Yard Operative

Duties and Responsibilities

• Delivering product to customers by van.
• Complete daily vehicle and load checks and report any incidents on the day.
• Multi drops and Branch to Branch runs.
• Driving long and/or short distances.
• Planning delivery schedules and routes with the Branch Manager.
• Handling freight in a safe, efficient manner.
• Pick and complete sales orders, wrap deliveries, complete warehouse paperwork for each dispatch.
• Load and unload lorries in a safe and efficient manner.
• Unload, record and put away of stocks and deliveries.
• Move and stack materials.
• Using correct manual handling techniques.
• Perform general warehouse duties in order to maintain a smooth operation.
• Checking that finished product packs are closed/sealed properly and that labels are in the correct position.
• Ensure all PODs are signed and returned to the office on time.
• Ensure all Health and Safety standards are always adhered to in line with Company policy.

Requirements
