Job summary

KCS Logistics & Storage Ltd. is seeking a delivery driver based in Rathcoole, County Dublin. You will travel with the driver to deliver pre-order products, collect payments, and ensure paperwork and deliveries are accurate.

Two shifts are available: Monday-Friday and Tuesday-Saturday. Safety gear and on-site parking are provided, with a bike-to-work scheme as a bonus.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills with courtesy and professionalism.
• Accurate cash handling and docket balancing.
• Ability to plan routes to meet time windows and COD payments.
• Awareness of safety procedures and road safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Travelling with the Driver to deliver pre-order products to customers in a timely, courteous and professional manner.
• Collection of money from customers and ensuring that the customer dockets balance with the money received.
• Plan your run to adhere to customer time requirements and collect monies due on COD deliveries.
• Ensure correct orders are delivered by completing necessary paperwork and contacting the Manager for variances.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure safe loading of goods before departure.
• End of day bag reconciliation and return of bags to the office.

Job description

This Role is based in Grants Park, Greenogue Business Park, Rathcoole, County Dublin, D24 YX77

Two shifts available :

• Monday - Friday
• Tuesday-Saturday

You will be responsible for the following:

• Travelling with the Driver to deliver pre-order products to the relevant customer in a timely, courteous and professional manner.
• Collection of money from customers and ensuring that the customer dockets balance with the money received.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure your vehicle is kept is clean and tidy at all times.
• Ensure your truck has been loaded safely prior to leaving the Depot.
• Plan your run to (a) Adhere to customer time requirements, (b) Collect any monies due on COD Deliveries and (c) Collection of outstanding accounts where notified to do so.
• Ensure the correct orders are delivered to the relevant customers by completing the necessary paperwork. Any variances on orders to be delivered, ensure to contact your Manager or Sales Representative.
• Any post-dated cheques must be approved by credit control before accepting as a form of payment.
• Notify the office of any customer issues, discrepancies, missing invoices, copies required etc. and note these on the driver’s Daily Sheet.
• All bags and customer paperwork to be accurately maintained throughout the working day and stored securely at the end of your shift in line with Company procedures.
• End of day bag reconciliation to be completed and your bag returned to the office.
• Always be courteous and professional with the Customers.
• Wear Company mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – safety boots and Hi-Vis at all times and Company uniform.
• Responsible for safety and showing courtesy to other road users.
• Ensure health and safety and food safety are maintained as applicable to your role.
• Report any incidents/accidents/vehicle faults/damage immediately to the Fleet & Maintenance Officer.
• Report any refrigeration faults/damage immediately to the Fleet & Maintenance Officer.
