Job summary

Choice Stores in Ashbourne, Co. Meath, is seeking a committed HGV driver to join our distribution team. The role requires handling deliveries and collections, unloading/loading, and paperwork upkeep, with responsibilities extending to warehouse duties.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with shifts across days including early, late, and weekend options. Staff benefits, training, and career opportunities are provided in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Full Clean Drivers' Licence.
• C Licence held for at least 1 year.
• Valid CPC and Digital tachograph card.
• Be familiar with the Irish roads network.
• Good communication skills and ability to communicate in spoken English.
• Previous multi–drop experience and a customer service attitude.
• Manual handling and forklift cert desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries and collections daily.
• Unloading and loading vehicles.
• Complete daily Vehicle Check Sheets.
• Pick orders and perform general warehouse work.
• Maintain and return all paperwork related to deliveries/collections.
• Work as part of a team, with flexibility on start times.
• Carry out tasks delegated by the Line Manager.

Due to Company expansion we are currently recruiting for a HGV driver to join our team in Ashbourne, Co. Meath. As part of the duties you would be expected to work in our distribution centre also.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Be flexible in relation to start times


• To work as part of a team


• Completing Daily Vehicle Check Sheets


• To make on time deliveries and collections daily


• Ability to unload and load vehicle


• To be able to Work on your own initiative


• Maintain & return all paperwork associated with deliveries/collections


• Picking of orders


• General warehouse work


• Any other tasks delegated from your Line Manager

To apply for this position Drivers must meet the following criteria:

• Full Clean Drivers' License


• Have held a full C license for a minimum of 1 year


• Valid Drivers CPC and Digital card required


• Be familiar with the Irish Roads network

• B Full driving licence required
