Job summary

TJ O'Mahony Oranmore, part of HPC Sales Ltd., is seeking a Full Time Driver to join the team in Oranmore, Co. Galway. The role involves delivering goods, checking orders, and maintaining safety and customer relations.

Responsibilities include timely deliveries, processing PODs, planning routes with the Branch Manager, and performing vehicle checks. A clean driving license and strong customer service are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Check orders and dockets prior to departure.
• Ensure deliveries are made on time.
• Ensure PODs are signed and returned to the office on time.
• Complete daily vehicle and load checks and report incidents.
• Ensure loads are secured pre-departure and compliant with Health & Safety and Road Safety.
• Perform multi‑drops and branch-to-branch runs.
• Drive long and/or short distances.
• Plan delivery schedules and routes with the Branch Manager.
• Handle freight in a safe, efficient manner.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods.
• Document readings and lorry quantities in the driver's logbook.
• Build excellent customer relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Check order and dockets prior to departure.
• Ensure deliveries are delivered on time.
• Ensure all PODs are signed and returned to the office on time.
• Complete daily vehicle and load checks and report any incidents on the day.
• Ensure loads are secured pre-departure. Adherence to compliance with Health & Safety and Road Safety.
• Multi drops and Branch to Branch runs.
• Driving long and/or short distances.
• Planning delivery schedules and routes with the Branch Manager.
• Handling freight in a safe, efficient manner.
• Helping loads and unload goods.
• Documenting the required important readings and lorry quantities including commodities in the driver's logbook.
• Build excellent customer relationships.
