Job summary

Duffy Express Freight UC is seeking a reliable Part-Time Van Driver for a 3-month temporary contract based on the Donegal area. You will deliver and collect goods across Donegal with a focus on safety and customer service, working independently with support from the Transport Office.

Ideal candidates hold a Full B driving licence, are punctual, capable of loading/unloading, and comfortable using smartphone apps for deliveries. Training provided and company vehicle supplied.

Qualifications

• Essential: Minimum experience not specified; attention to safety and proper handling.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily deliveries and collections safely and efficiently
• Load and unload freight safely
• Ensure goods are secure and correctly loaded
• Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately
• Obtain electronic Proof of Delivery (EPOD) or signed PODs
• Take photographs of pallets/cases when required through the driver app
• Keep delivery information updated on the company system
• Report damaged, missing or incorrectly addressed freight
• Communicate with the Transport Office regarding any delivery issues or delays
• Provide professional and courteous customer service
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy
• Follow all road traffic, health & safety and company procedures

Job Description

Duffy Express Freight UC is looking for a reliable and professional Part-Time Van Driver to join our team on a 3-month temporary basis. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced driver looking for part-time work with an established transport and logistics company. The RoleYou will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of goods to customers throughout Donegal and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will work independently on a daily delivery route while being supported by our Transport Office team.

Key Duties
