Job summary

Van / Delivery Driver role is based in Ballina, Co. Mayo. The successful candidate will be on the road delivering goods to customers while representing the business professionally.

This permanent full-time position offers a stable career with Monday to Friday work and occasional Saturday shifts. Role includes loading/unloading, route planning, and excellent customer service across Mayo and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Valid full clean Category B driving licence.
• Experience in van delivery and customer service.
• Knowledge of Mayo and surrounding areas.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
• Reliable, punctual and well organized.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods safely and efficiently to customers across Mayo and surrounding counties.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring products are handled with care.
• Assemble and install products at customer locations where required.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and keep the vehicle in good condition.
• Plan delivery routes to maximise efficiency and meet schedules.
• Provide excellent customer service during every delivery.
• Obtain delivery confirmations and complete paperwork.
• Assist in warehouse with picking, packing, and stock movement when needed.
• Report delivery issues or maintenance concerns promptly.
• Adhere to road safety regulations and health and safety procedures.

Van / Delivery Driver

We are currently recruiting a Van / Delivery Driver on behalf of a well-established retailer based in Ballina, Co. Mayo.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, customer-focused individual who enjoys being on the road and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe delivery of goods to customers while representing the business in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver goods safely and efficiently to customers throughout Mayo and surrounding counties
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring products are handled with care
• Assemble and install products at customer locations where required
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure the company vehicle is maintained to a high standard
• Plan delivery routes to maximise efficiency and meet delivery schedules
• Provide excellent customer service during every delivery
• Obtain customer delivery confirmations and complete all required paperwork
• Assist in the warehouse with picking, packing, loading and stock movement when required
• Report any delivery issues or vehicle maintenance concerns promptly
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and company health and safety procedures

Candidate Requirements

• Full clean Category B driving licence
• Previous experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver or in a similar role
• Experience delivering and assembling products would be an advantage
• Good knowledge of Mayo and surrounding areas
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy items safely
• Reliable, punctual and well organised
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
