Job summary

Edward Lundy Haulage Unlimited Company t/a Lundy Haulage, based in Breaffy, Ballina, Co. Mayo, is recruiting experienced HGV drivers to join our transport team. The successful candidate will operate refrigerated heavy goods vehicles nationwide, perform daily vehicle checks and ensure loads are secured.

Applicants must hold a valid HGV licence, CPC certification, and have at least three years’ experience. Good written and spoken English, safe driving practices, and the ability to work

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate refrigerated heavy goods vehicles to nationwide locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and maintenance as required.
• Ensure loads are secured and compliant with safety regulations.
• Liaise with customers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and collections.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.

The role includes carrying out daily vehicle checks, ensuring loads are secured appropriately, completing required documentation, and liaising with customers and site personnel when necessary.The ideal candidate must hold a valid HGV driving licence, up-to-date CPC certification, and have a minimum of three years’ experience driving heavy goods vehicles. Candidates must demonstrate safe driving practices, maintain their vehicle to a high standard, work both independently and as part of a team, and adhere strictly to company health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
