Job summary

The Utilities Project Engineer at Prochem Engineering will lead planning, coordination and execution of site utility and infrastructure projects, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to GMP and regulatory standards.

The role requires 5+ years in engineering within regulated environments, with hands-on experience in purified water, WFI, clean steam, HVAC, and plant services, plus strong vendor and contractor coordination.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or similar discipline)
• Minimum 5+ years’ engineering experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments
• Experience with purified water, WFI, clean steam, process air, HVAC, plant steam, chilled water
• Ability to coordinate with contractors and multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering projects related to utilities and facility infrastructure across the site
• Lead upgrades, ensuring compliance with GMP and contamination control standards
• Develop project scopes, technical specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure projects comply with EHS, GMP, and site engineering standards
• Perform risk assessments, design reviews, and change control documentation
• Support commissioning, qualification, and handover of completed systems
• Provide technical support for utilities systems and site infrastructure as requested.

• The Utilities Project Engineer is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects supporting site utilities and infrastructure
• The engineer will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards.The successful candidate will have technical project support experience on utility systems
