Job summary

ORICA UK LIMITED in Navan, Ireland, is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join a small, collaborative maintenance team. You will maintain, service, troubleshoot and repair bulk explosives pumping systems and related equipment used in underground mining environments.

A strong mechanical background, proactive attitude, and ability to work safely in a remote setting are essential. The role supports equipment reliability, operational uptime and safe production outcomes, with on-call duties outside

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related discipline.
Trade qualification or equivalent experience in Mechanical Maintenance.
Experience in industrial/mining environments preferred, underground experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot and repair bulk explosives pumping equipment and related mechanical systems in underground mining.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and availability.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to support operational continuity and minimise downtime.
Assist with electrical/PLC issues when required and coordinate with specialist teams.
Support maintenance planning and safe operational practices; participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation; collaborate across site functions.
