Job summary

EY in Dublin seeks a Senior Business Analyst, Manager to work with clients across local, European and US markets. You will gather requirements, define IT solutions, and lead multi‑vendor delivery in ERP/CRM programmes, coaching junior staff and shaping strategic change for clients.

The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, proposal support, and strong communication across business and technology teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a consulting firm, industry, or government on local, European and US markets.
• Experience gathering, defining and documenting business and solution requirements for IT systems.
• Strong academic record including a third level degree.
• Experience in industries such as Power & Utilities, Government, Financial Services, Life Sciences, Telecoms/Media.
• Experience in fast-paced, multi-vendor environments.
• Business development experience such as client relationship management and proposal support.
• Coaching and mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with clients to understand business goals and priorities, and collaborate with functional teams to formulate solutions.
• Build valuable relationships with clients through exceptional delivery.
• Support business growth and win new business by contributing to proposals and client presentations.
• Create innovative insights to help clients develop their change agenda and deliver value.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Required Background

• At least 5 years’ experience in a consulting firm, industry or government organisation within local, European & US markets.
• Experience gathering, defining and documenting business and solution requirements for enhancement, replacement or introduction of IT systems.
• A strong academic record including a third level degree.
• Experience in one or more focus industries such as Power & Utilities, Government & Public Sector, Financial Services, Life Sciences and Telecommunications & Media.
• Experience operating in a fast‑paced, multi‑vendor environment.
• Experience in business development such as client relationship management and proposal support.
• Passion for coaching and mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Experience

• Analysing systems and procedures, process design and modelling, and documenting “As‑is” and “To‑be” assessments for a Target Operating Model.
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies, including creation of User Stories or Use Cases and working closely with a Product Owner.
• Conducting workshops and interviews.
• Stakeholder Management and working collaboratively with Development and Testing teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Delivery of large‑scale business/technology programmes, ideally in ERP or CRM implementations (Oracle, MS Dynamics, SAP).
