About the Opportunity

This role is a leadership position within EY’s Transformation Architecture practice. You will lead client engagements with government bodies and public sector organisations, developing relationships with key accounts, scoping solutions, and delivering end‑to‑end transformations. The work is primarily client facing, embedded at clients to drive the best of EY’s portfolio to market, while managing teams, developing business, and forming strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong commercial experience in the Government and Public Sector domain.
• Build quality trusted relationships with clients, leveraging both personal and EY’s broader network.
• Create high‑quality work products and act as a subject‑matter resource in relevant energy sector areas.
• Deliver clear and concise communication with internal and external stakeholders, including facilitation of workshops and formal presentations.
• Lead, manage, and empower multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Produce impactful thought leadership for business development, engagement delivery, and marketing.
• Build strong internal, cross‑competency relationships to bring the best of EY to market.
• Drive improvements in business processes, serving as a role model for Quality & Risk Management (Q&RM) and ensuring compliance with guidelines.

Qualifications

• 10‑12 years experience within the energy sector in Ireland or abroad, with a strong track record in consulting.
• Experience delivering complex projects in the energy market.
• A proven track record in delivering strategic and business transformation initiatives.
• Senior stakeholder management (e.g., Board, C‑Suite) and excellent communication skills.
• Proven business development experience.
• Strong academic record including a third level degree.

Desired Experience

• Strategy implementation including design and development of long‑term roadmaps, implementation planning, and best‑practice models.
• Trend analysis to assess market landscape, identify growth levers, and guide business model reinvention.
• Operating model design and development, including interim and target operating models and facilitation of workshop‑based processes.
• Support development of business and commercial cases for significant new investment or policy changes.
