Job summary

Alstom in Ireland is seeking an engineer to apply your expertise in cutting-edge transport systems. You will collaborate with design, testing and operations teams to ensure the efficiency and reliability of railway solutions.

Qualifications

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You’ll contribute to the development and maintenance of advanced transportation systems, ensuring their efficiency and reliability. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as design, testing, and operations), provide technical support for system integration, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:
  • Analysing system performance data to identify trends and propose improvements
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation related to TSSSA systems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and implement solutions
  • Contributing to the design and development of system upgrades or modifications
  • Supporting the training of internal and external stakeholders on system operations
  • Monitoring spare parts availability and ensuring timely supply to meet operational needs
  • Participating in the root cause analysis of system failures and implementing corrective actions
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
All About You
  • Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience or understanding of system integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of railway systems, signalling, or transportation technologies.
  • Familiarity with system lifecycle management and engineering processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and project requirements
