Job summary

MAYFIELD/OLD YOUGHAL ROAD PROJECT CLG. invites applications for a CE Assistant Community Development Worker within TVG to support Traveller health initiatives.

This developmental role requires no prior experience; accredited training will be provided. You will work with the TVG health team to promote health awareness, network with Traveller organisations and assist with group activities for men, women and youth.

Qualifications

• This is a developmental opportunity with accredited training provided.
• Eligibility for CE depends on age and welfare status as applicable.
• Garda vetting application may be required.
• Work with TVG health team to support Traveller health initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Work from a health-based approach considering determinants affecting Traveller health.
• Support the development and delivery of TVG's health response.
• Network with local, regional and national Traveller organisations.
• Promote Traveller health awareness through regular contact with relevant agencies.
• Assist in developing group work for Traveller men, women and young people.
• Carry out duties assigned by the Project Coordinator and TVG Management Committee.
