Job summary

Sysco Ireland, the country’s largest foodservice provider, is seeking a Transport Operations Manager to lead a team of around two hundred across distribution. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, managing performance, and driving continuous improvements in processes and safety.

The position requires strong leadership, coaching skills, and the ability to interpret data to support scalable growth.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience leading large teams in fast-paced FMCG/retail/3PL environments.
• Strong track record delivering customer service excellence and achieving KPIs.
• Experience coaching and developing high performing teams.
• Able to interpret data and apply insights to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve KPIs for service, costs and engagement through direct reports.
• Recruit, develop and manage staff to meet KPIs and SLAs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and company policy across the department.
• Collaborate with other functions to align operations with business goals.
• Plan and execute day-to-day operational strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach staff through appraisals, PDPs, and regular feedback to drive performance.
• Communicate with all levels and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
