Role: Training Coordinator
Contract Type: 12 months | Temp Contract
Location: Onsite, Cork - Kinsale
Working hours: 39 hours / week, Mon - Thu 8am-4.30pm, Fridays 8am - 3.40pm
Job Description
The Training Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of learningsolutions across Kinsale, including administration of Kinsale curricula. The Training Coordinatorpartners with the business to ensure curricula adequately reflect job responsibilities andcompliance-based activities.The Training Coordinator is responsible for training projectsidentified as fulfilling the learning capability and competency gaps in the assigned businessarea/function. Additionally, the Training Coordinator is responsible for activities required tomaintain the overall state of compliance of the Training Compliance program.
The Training Coordinator monitors process, progress, results, and designs feedback loops intotheir work against measured goals. The Training Coordinator should anticipate and adjust forproblems and roadblocks, interface with learning service suppliers, and integrate new businessprocesses where necessary for success. The Training Coordinator provides support to ensurepersonnel are qualified and capable, which includes personnel fulfilling compliance requirementsand continually increasing their contribution to the business.
Key Responsibilities
Training Coordinator Portfolio Management
- Identify, analyze, and determine solutions regarding learning gaps.
- Define requirements for personnel qualification in assigned business area/function;ensure implementation and ongoing maintenance.
- Create, revise, and implement training and related documents, ensuring all documents arewell written and executable.
- Evaluate effectiveness of existing and planned learning interventions.
- Evaluate human errors in business units and determine appropriate human error reductioninterventions.
- Collaborate/participate in Network/Functional initiatives.
- Partner with the business in the creation and management of training materials.
- Create initial project charters with defined scope documents and statements of work.
- Participate on project teams; lead assigned projects.
- Monitor and communicate deliverable status to key business partners.
- Anticipate and resolve project/program issues, escalating as appropriate.
- Oversee the portfolio of projects to ensure the on-time, on-budget creation of deliverablesthat meet quality standards, follow instructional design principles, are approved by appropriate personnel, and meet the needs of the business.
- Drive quality standards through review of project documents, design, deliverables, finallearning content and evaluation data.
- Stay abreast of the breadth of learning solutions to guide business partners to the mosteffective learning methods, solutions and outcomes.
- Benchmark within Learning and Development organizations in other sites, seekingsharing and replication opportunities.
- Conduct usability testing as required.
- Share business metrics and interpretations with management.
Client Management
- Actively participate in area/function project and process teams.
- Analyze/understand the assigned business area/function, including business goals, jobtitles and descriptions, key duties, and responsibilities.
- Monitor client satisfaction of learning program implementation. Share results withmanagement and make recommendations.
- Surface improvement opportunities within Training Compliance.
- Consult across the assigned business area/function to ensure training plans align withbusiness plan, strategic direction, and compliance and ethics.
- Effectively communicate updates for projects and assignments.
Curriculum Architecture and Assignment
- Identify target audience for specific learning intervention.
- Create and maintain duty-aligned curricula with business partners and support curriculaowners in the business.
- Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of target audience definitions for courses owned byassigned business area/function in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Troubleshoot curriculum architecture and assignment and resolve issues.
- Implement centrally-developed process improvements in local area.
Basic Requirements:
- Experience in technical writing
- Demonstrated program/project management skills
- Experience with learning & development and SOP business processes
- Demonstrated ability to establish strong business relationships
- Demonstrated ability in communication, conflict resolution, judgment and managing complex issues
- Ability and willingness to challenge business partners regarding ways to use learninginterventions to most effectively meet business requirements
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountablefor supporting all Corporate and Site Goals
Additional Preferences:
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment
- Experience in business area/function as well as knowledge of companion tools used toexecute broader business processes (such as CAPA tools/TrackWise, documentrepositories/Veeva QualityDocs)
- Experience in supplier oversight
- Ability to effectively partner outside functional area
- Ability to navigate complex organizations
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to coach others
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years of experience in a Learning & Development role
Other Information:
- Travel may be required.
