Job summary

Jabil Bray is seeking a Finance Assistant to support the monthly accounts preparation and quarterly forecasting process. You will maintain ledgers and tax compliance while handling general finance duties in a dynamic environment.

The role requires a third-level degree with progress towards an Accountancy qualification and strong Excel skills. Prior SAP exposure is advantageous, and you will contribute to timely financial reporting and adherence to internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Compute and prepare data for journal entries, review general ledger and related financial statements for reasonableness.
• Accumulate, sort and analyse information for the preparation of financial statements, general ledgers, reports and various taxes.
• Assist with collating tasks in preparing monthly financial reports for both inside and outside the company.
• Assist with quarterly forecasting. Prepare timely reports and communicate key messages with functional areas.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

Job Qualifications

• Third level degree or equivalent.
• A commitment to complete and attain Accountancy qualification from a recognised body in Ireland.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Advanced PC skills (excel). Prior SAP knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to write business correspondence to be read and used by all levels within Jabil Bray.
• Ability to summarise and present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and potentially customers.
