Job summary

Matrix Recruitment is recruiting for a Trade Qualified Fitter on behalf of a leading manufacturing company in South Kildare. This is a permanent role maintaining production equipment, reducing downtime and supporting the smooth running of the manufacturing plant.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical faults, maintain pumps, conveyors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and log work via the CMMS, supporting equipment reliability and continuous

Qualifications

• Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter/Maintenance Technician with hands-on experience in manufacturing settings.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and executing breakdown repairs.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, and of automated production equipment.
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP and LOTO procedures during maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Maintain pumps, conveyors and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Complete maintenance work through the CMMS.

What We're Looking For

• Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter/Maintenance Technician.
• Minimum 2/3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production/industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair experience.
• Experience carrying out preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns.
• Knowledge of automated production equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
