Job summary

Eastern Electrical Galway is seeking a Trade Counter Assistant / Warehouse Operative to join our Galway team. You will support the trade counter, promotions, merchandising and the customer experience while helping to maintain accurate stock levels.

Key duties include loading/unloading, receiving goods, picking and packing orders, assisting van drivers, stocktaking, housekeeping and ensuring health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and teamwork.
• Willing to learn and develop new skills.
• Forklift license, Safe Pass or manual handling certs advantageous.
• Full clean driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the trade counter, sales promotions, merchandising and the customer experience.
• Load and unload freight vehicles.
• Receive goods on system and place into stock promptly.
• Pick and pack orders.
• Provide relief to Van Drivers as needed.
• Assist Counter Sales Staff when required.
• Stocktaking and regular cycle counting.
• Housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Ensure the Warehouse complies with H&S standards.

Due to continued growth, Eastern Electrical Galway is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated person for the role of Trade Counter Assistant /Warehouse Operative.

Key activities:

• Maintenance and development of the trade counter, sales promotions, merchandising and the enhancement of the customer experience.
• Loading and unloading of freight vehicles
• Receiving goods on system & placing them into stock in a timely manner
• Picking and packing of orders
• Providing relief to Van Drivers as and when necessary
• Provide assistance to Counter Sales Staff when necessary
• Stocktaking and regular cycle counting
• Housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Ensuring the Warehouse is complaint with H&S standards

Skills and experience required:

• A positive attitude, willing to work with the existing team
• A passion to learn and develop new skills
• Forklift license, safe pass or manual handling certs an advantage.
• A Full Clean Drivers Licence (Essential)
