Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an Automation Engineer in Ireland to design and implement automated workflows across cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP). You will leverage Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS), maintain scripts in PowerShell/Python/Bash, and drive CI/CD automation in a fast-paced Agile DevOps setting.

You will work with Terraform, ARM, and CloudFormation, managing Git workflows and various source control systems to streamline deployments and improve customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Automation on Azure/AWS/GCP with configuration/development mgmt.
• Automation on Docker/Kubernetes e.g. AKS, EKS.
• Strong scripting skills: PowerShell, Python, Bash.
• Proficient with CI/CD tools to automate testing and development in Agile DevOps.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, AWS CloudFormation and JSON templates.
• Proficient with Git workflows.

Responsibilities

Job description

Automation experience with at least one configuration/development management system such as Azure/AWS/GCP/Gitlab DevOps, Jenkins.

Key Responsibilities

• Automation and orchestrating workloads experience on Azure, AWS, or other cloud platform.
• Automation experience on Docker, Kubernetes e.g. AKS, EKS etc.
• Strong scripting skills, i.e., PowerShell, Python, Bash etc.
• Proficient in leveraging CI and CD tools to automate testing and development. Experience working in an Agile, fast paced, DevOps environment.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, AWS CloudFormation and JSON template.
• Proficient with Git and Git workflows
• Experience with Cloud Services IaaS, PaaS
• Work with customers and other teams to troubleshoot customer environments to increase user satisfaction.
• Develop tooling and process to drive and improve customer experience, create playbooks/runbooks.
• Knowledge of Source control system, debugging tools, testing tools used in MS technologies & Java App and Open-source Dev environment.
• Experience working with at least one of the languages: Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby.

Skill Requirements

• Technical expertise in cloud IaaS, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) technologies like Azure / AWS / GCP/ Alibaba
• Technical expertise in Jenkins, Quick Build, Bamboo (Continuous Delivery process and tools) Git, Gitlab , Bitbucket, SVN, Perforce, etc. including migrations from one to another (source code repositories).
• Technical expertise in ARM, AWS Cloud Foundation, Terraform, Ansible
• DevOps Certification
