Job summary

MGS is seeking a mid-level Toolmaker for our Leixlip facility. You will maintain and repair high-precision injection moulds, assist with tool trials, and support tooling changes while collaborating with Production and Engineering to resolve mould issues.

The role requires experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, practical skills with mills, grinders and lathes, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. A toolmaking qualification is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a GMP-regulated environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain high-precision moulds including multi-cavity, hot runner, valve-gated and stack moulds.
• Compile standard specifications and monitor moulds to specifications.
• Fit and assemble dies, jigs, gauges, and tools using machine and hand tools.
• Support initial tool trials and validations.
• Carry out tool builds and assist in tool changes.
• Identify improvement opportunities and participate in corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to troubleshoot mould problems.
• Follow all company policies including health and safety.
