Job summary

emagine is actively seeking a Test Team Lead in Dublin to shape testing strategy for web apps and CRM systems. You will guide a team of Test Analysts, define test scopes, and manage defects while aligning with project plans in a hybrid work setup.

The role emphasizes STLC mastery, stakeholder communication, and continuous process improvements within an Agile/DevOps context, including UAT planning and QA governance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in software testing, with 2+ years in a Test Lead or Test Manager capacity.
• ISTQB Qualified (Advanced/Practitioner level preferred).
• Proven track record managing or leading test teams.
• Strong experience in web application testing, with proven experience testing CRM platforms.
• Deep understanding of the software testing lifecycle (STLC) and test strategy design.
• Experience translating business and technical requirements into test strategy and test coverage.
• Strong stakeholder management and reporting skills - able to communicate quality risk to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent organisation, planning, and resource management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the test strategy and approach across web-based applications and CRM systems, aligning it to project and release plans.
• Lead and mentor a team of Test Analysts, setting priorities, reviewing outputs, and building their skills.
• Define and govern test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios across functional, system, integration, and regression testing.
• Oversee defect management: triage, prioritisation, tracking, and resolution reporting to stakeholders.
• Act as the primary quality liaison with developers, business analysts, project managers, and business stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement of testing processes, standards, and tooling across the function.
• Own test data strategy and data integrity assurance between front-end and back-end systems.
• Plan and manage User Acceptance Testing cycles, coordinating business sign-off.
• Own QA documentation, governance, and reporting (test plans, coverage reports, exit criteria, metrics).
• Build and evolve regression test packs as a strategic asset, not just a maintenance task.
• Embed testing within an Agile / DevOps delivery environment, including sprint ceremonies and release planning.
• Report on test progress, risk, and quality status to project leadership.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Azure DevOps environments and CI/CD pipelines, ideally having implemented or governed these
• Experience testing customer or partner-facing portals
• Experience leading QA within Agile delivery frameworks
• Familiarity with MS applications and systems (e.g. Power Pages, Power Apps, Dynamics 365 etc.)
• Experience building or overseeing automation testing strategy
• Experience testing in highly regulated organisations or QA-certified organisations (e.g. ISO 25000)
• Experience of the SDLC in a public sector organisation
