Qualifications

• Experience in Software Quality Assurance (SQA) or quality engineering for consumer or client-side software.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing, including test case design, execution, exploratory testing, and defect reporting.
• Experience with test automation and scripting using Python or similar programming languages.
• Good understanding of software testing fundamentals and quality engineering practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD based development and validation workflows.
• Ability to analyse, debug, and reason about issues.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and product teams.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools to support software testing, test automation, or engineering productivity.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and exploratory tests for assigned features or application areas.
• Design, execute, and maintain test cases based on requirements and specifications.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests using Python and existing automation frameworks.
• Participate in release validation, regression testing, smoke testing, and automated test execution.

The role

For Dolby's PC Applications, you will support the quality, stability, and reliability of consumer‑facing native Windows applications used at global scale. This role focuses on desktop software validation, test automation, and release quality for client-side applications. It is not focused on web application testing, or data quality engineering.

As a Software Quality Engineer, you contribute to validating features and ensuring reliable releases, working under guidance while building ownership of test areas.
