Job summary

Vantage Resources is seeking a Test Analyst — Functional for a 12 month contract in Dublin with hybrid work. You will plan, execute and manage diverse testing activities across manual, integration and UAT, while developing automated tests using Playwright and collaborating with agile development teams to ensure quality across complex .NET full‑stack applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in software testing and QA.
• Strong functional testing across manual, integration and regression testing.
• Hands-on testing of complex .NET/full-stack apps.
• Experience writing automated tests with Playwright.
• Proficient with Azure DevOps for test management and defects.
• Knowledge of SQL for data queries and updates.
• Agile environment experience; strong problem solving and communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute functional, integration, system, UAT, regression and release testing.

What’s involved:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute functional, integration, system, UAT, regression, and release testing


• Develop, manage, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios


• Write and maintain automated tests using Playwright


• Test complex, custom-built full-stack web applications developed in .NET


• Use Azure DevOps for test creation, management, execution, and defect tracking


• Identify, log, track, and manage defects through to resolution


• Manage test data and use SQL to run queries and update data


• Validate system changes against business requirements and acceptance criteria


• Work closely with development teams in Agile environments


• Communicate defects, risks, and quality concerns to technical and non-technical stakeholders


• Support regression testing, release validation, and production issues


• Contribute to test documentation and continuous improvement of testing processes


• Support end users of custom full-stack web applications where required

What you need:

• 5+ years' experience in software testing


• Strong functional testing experience across manual, integration, system, UAT, and regression testing


• Hands-on experience testing complex .NET/full-stack web applications


• Experience writing automated tests using Playwright


• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking


• Working knowledge of SQL, including running queries and updating data


• Experience with test data management and defect lifecycle management


• Experience working closely with development teams in Agile environments


• Strong requirements validation and business requirements testing experience


• Experience testing enterprise-level software solutions across medium and large-scale projects


• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills


• ISTQB or equivalent testing certification is desirable


• End-user support and incident management experience is desirable


• Experience with security aspects of public-facing websites is desirable
