Sofina Foods seeks a Team Leader to head a high-performing production shift in our Primal or Slicing department, delivering quality products safely and efficiently. You will lead by motivating your team and maintaining high standards.

Working closely with Quality, Technical, HR and Logistics, you will drive operational excellence through coaching, development, and a commitment to food safety and GMP. A proven people leader is essential for success.

Qualificações

• Minimum Leaving Certificate with supervision/people management qualification advantageous.
• At least two years' experience leading a team in food manufacturing.
• Fluent English with strong communication and planning skills.

Responsabilidades

Role Overview

Our new Team Leader will play a vital role in ensuring our Primal or Slicing department consistently delivers high-quality products while achieving production targets safely and efficiently. You'll lead your shift by motivating your team, maintaining exceptional standards, and creating a positive working environment where people can thrive.

Working closely with Production, Technical, Quality, Engineering, Logistics and HR, you'll help drive operational excellence through strong leadership, continuous improvement and a commitment to food safety and quality.

Key Duties

• Leading your team to achieve daily production plans and key performance targets.
• Setting clear objectives, monitoring performance and providing regular coaching and feedback.
• Championing the highest standards of food safety, product quality, hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Promoting a culture where health and safety is a priority for everyone.
• Developing, mentoring and supporting colleagues to maximise capability and engagement.
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across the production area.
• Building strong working relationships with Quality, Technical, Engineering, Logistics and HR teams.
• Ensuring equipment and work areas are maintained to support safe and efficient production.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality and operational performance.
• Supporting the effective use and ongoing development of production systems.

Ideal Candidate

You will be an experienced people leader who enjoys developing others and delivering results in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You'll also bring:

• A minimum Leaving Certificate (or equivalent), with a qualification in supervision, people management, science or a related discipline being advantageous.
• At least two years' experience leading a team within food manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and develop others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluent English.
• Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities.
• A commitment to maintaining exceptional food safety, quality and health & safety standards.
• A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
