Job summary

Morgan McKinley partners with a leading Financial Services Group to appoint an experienced Technology Risk & Resilience Expert. The role spans independent second-line oversight of IT risk and information security, plus oversight of cyber risk in a regulated financial services environment.

You will define governance interfaces, map 1LOD/2LOD accountability, and challenge risk reporting to ensure robust resilience and regulatory compliance across technology domains.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in second line or independent risk oversight of technology risk.
• Experience with IT risk, cyber risk in financial services.
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent 2LOD oversight of Technology Risk (IT & information security) within the firm.
• Assess, challenge and provide assurance over first-line risk reporting of technology risks.
• Support maturation of service-based view of technology risk and regulatory alignment.
• Oversee risk registers, control inventories and incident remediation activities.
• Challenge risk assessments, severity ratings and residual risk conclusions.
