Job summary

MCS Group | Your Specialist Recruitment Consultancy is recruiting an experienced Techno Business Analyst for an urgent implementation programme in Dublin City Centre. This hands-on role requires bridging business and tech, with exposure to core banking deployments and API-enabled projects.

You will lead workshops, translate requirements, and manage user stories using JIRA/Confluence, while validating REST/SOAP APIs and performing data mapping and ETL tasks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience delivering technology-enabled change.
• Strong banking sector experience (Financial Crime/AML/C&KB).
• Experience delivering at least one end-to-end large-scale banking system implementation.
• Hands-on API, SQL, databases and system integrations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops translating business needs into functional and technical requirements.
• Create detailed user stories and manage backlog via JIRA and Confluence.
• Map banking processes and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
• Support REST and SOAP API integrations with validation using Postman and Swagger.
• Use SQL for data validation, reconciliation and analysis across Oracle or MS SQL databases.
• Support data mapping, migration, ETL and data governance activities.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, testing and business teams.
• Support SIT, UAT and regression testing throughout the implementation.

MCS Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Techno Business Analyst for an urgent implementation programme.

This is a genuinely hands-on role for someone who can bridge the gap between business and technology.

You'll need previous experience delivering at least one end-to-end core banking or banking product implementation, alongside strong API, SQL and data analysis skills.

• Lead workshops and translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
• Create detailed user stories and manage the backlog through JIRA and Confluence.
• Map existing banking processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
• Support REST and SOAP API integrations, including payload and endpoint validation using Postman and Swagger.
• Use SQL for data validation, reconciliation and analysis across Oracle or MS SQL databases.
• Support data mapping, migration, ETL and data governance activities.
• Work closely with development, architecture, testing and business teams.
• Support SIT, UAT and regression testing throughout the implementation.

What we're looking for:

• 8+ year's experience delivering technology-enabled change.
• Strong banking experience across areas such as Financial Crime/AMLA, Customer, Payments, Lending, Retail or Corporate Banking.
• Experience delivering at least one large-scale banking system implementation from end to end.
• Strong hands-on understanding of APIs, SQL, databases and system integrations.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• CBAP, Agile or API-related certifications would be beneficial.
