Job summary

Darwin Hawkins in Dublin (Hybrid - 2 days) is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to work across technology and operational change initiatives, translating business needs into practical system solutions with stakeholders across the organisation.

The role requires hands-on experience gathering, analysing and documenting requirements, plus strong process analysis and mapping. You will engage with business and technology teams to drive improvements and successful implementations.

Qualifications

• Strong experience working as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
• Hands-on experience gathering, analysing and documenting requirements.
• Strong process analysis and process mapping experience.
• Experience supporting technology projects through the full delivery lifecycle.
• Exposure to system implementations, upgrades, integrations or application change.
• Ability to investigate complex business problems and translate findings into clear solutions.
• Experience working directly with both business stakeholders and technology teams.
• Strong communication and workshop facilitation skills.
• Comfortable managing several projects and priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with stakeholders to understand business needs, operational challenges and project objectives.
• Leading requirements gathering and documenting agreed business and system requirements.
• Reviewing existing workflows and identifying gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Developing process maps and helping define future ways of working.
• Assessing the impact of proposed changes across systems, processes and users.
• Working with technical specialists to ensure business requirements are understood throughout delivery.
• Supporting the evaluation and implementation of new technology solutions.
• Coordinating business input into system changes and enhancements.
• Developing test scenarios and supporting user acceptance testing.
• Investigating recurring system, process and information issues and identifying their underlying causes.
• Identifying opportunities to remove unnecessary manual activity and improve operational efficiency.
• Supporting users and stakeholders through the implementation of new solutions and processes.
• Maintaining clear project documentation and communicating progress, risks and dependencies to relevant stakeholders.
• Contributing to a wider programme of technology and operational improvement initiatives.
