Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Technical Security Engineer in Ireland to build reliable, scalable integrations and automation across our issue tracking and code platforms.

You will create event-driven workflows, secure service-to-service access, and data enrichment pipelines while maintaining robust CI/CD, testing, and documentation. The role values pragmatic automation and strong collaboration with platform admins.

Qualifications

• 1+ years building integrations with REST APIs and webhooks.
• Strong coding skills and ability to write testable code.
• Experience with secrets management and IAM RBAC.
• Proficient in CI/CD and version control best practices.
• Familiarity with ticket workflows and data enrichment.
• Experience with cloud networking fundamentals.
• Ability to review AI-generated code and automation.
• Experience with Slack/ChatOps and notification pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build event-driven workflows across issue tracking and code platforms.
• Develop and maintain GitHub integrations for Jira visibility.
• Implement secure service-to-service access with certificates and IAM.
• Create automation packs, tests, and documentation.
• Build data pipelines/UDFs for ticket enrichment (GeoIP, metadata).
• Troubleshoot API and workflow issues with platform admins.
• Define SLOs, alerts, and dashboards for automation health.
• Establish CI/CD for integration code with git workflows.
• Drive post-incident improvements and change management.
