Job summary

Dance Cork Firkin Crane is seeking a Technical Manager to lead all technical and production disciplines. You will work with the EAD to support with presentation, residency programmes and rentals, while guiding safety, budgeting and scheduling across a mid-sized arts venue.

The role requires 7+ years in a production/technical management capacity, experience with national/international touring, and strong budgeting skills. The position is a permanent full-time role based in Cork.

Qualifications

  • At least 7+ years in a production/technical management role.
  • Proven knowledge across a range technical disciplines.
  • Experience with national and international touring.
  • Budgeting and scheduling experience.
  • Health and Safety knowledge for effective delivery.
  • High computer literacy including AutoCAD/Vectorworks, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

  • General responsibilities include coordinating scheduling, planning, production management and budgeting for events and rentals.
  • Lead and develop the technical staff; build effective relationships with artists, renters and team members.
  • Provide leadership and management across DCFC’s technical programme.
  • Oversee budgeting, cost estimation, procurement and value-for-money decisions.
  • Ensure Health & Safety policy compliance, risk assessments and safe working practices.
  • Represent the organisation at meetings; maintain industry relationships and oversee CE Scheme technical assistants.
