Job summary

RWS invites applications for a Technical Team Lead in Propylon Government Solutions, Dublin. Lead a team delivering Python-based workflow and document management tools, shaping architecture and coordinating across client engagements.

You will mentor engineers, ensure high-quality delivery, and collaborate with government stakeholders to define technical solutions. Travel internationally to client sites will be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Python programming experience.
• Experience with Django/Flask or equivalent Python web/API frameworks.
• Proven Python ecosystem knowledge and best practices.
• 3+ years technical team leadership; delivery of complex software.
• Experience architecting complex workflow systems and influencing stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel internationally for client deliveries.
• Experience in delivering software under strict deadlines.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to present to large audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide line management and technical mentorship for software engineers in Propylon’s Government Solutions division.
• Ensure quality of deliveries with tests, security, and best practices.
• Plan and oversee development sprints with accurate effort estimation.
• Travel internationally to client sites for technical discovery, demonstrations, and deployments.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders and external partners on requirements and solutions.
• Act as technical face of Propylon during project discovery, updates, and client meetings.
• Present architectural decisions and product demos to diverse audiences including executives.
• Produce analysis of existing systems and designs integrating with Propylon applications.
• Work with management to ensure designs are robust and aligned with strategy.
• Provide estimates with cross-functional teams and mentor juniors.
