Job summary

Fruition Group Ireland's Dublin-based client is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join on a permanent basis, with a hybrid model (2 days on site).

The role focuses on building secure backend services using Python and AWS serverless technologies, collaborating across teams to deliver scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong coding practices, API design experience, and an ability to mentor peers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline involving coding.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including object-oriented design, testing, typing, and maintainable service design.
• Experience building and operating cloud services within AWS environments.
• Expertise with AWS serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudFront.
• Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience designing backend APIs, secure storage solutions, analytics services, and workflow integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain secure backend software applications that are reliable and scalable.

• Collaboration with engineers, product managers, architects, designers, QA, security, and data teams to help deliver solutions.
