The successful candidate will work closely with the CTO and lead a team in software architecture, development oversight, and operational responsibility, ensuring high-quality engineering solutions.

Eligible candidates must have strong Python experience and be able to work effectively in a Linux environment.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Python development.
• Experience leading or mentoring software engineering teams.
• Good understanding of software architecture and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Leading and mentoring a team of developers.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems primarily in Python.
• Assisting the CTO in technical planning and architecture decisions.

Skills

Strong commercial experience with Python development

Experience leading or mentoring software engineering teams

Good understanding of software architecture and distributed systems

Experience working with APIs, backend platforms, and scalable systems

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to balance hands-on development with technical leadership responsibilities
