Job summary

Susquehanna is seeking a seasoned Project Manager/Business Analyst to join the team in Dublin. You will partner with core business teams, traders, technology managers and domain experts to drive business and technology initiatives across the full trading lifecycle.

You will translate business requirements into actionable project roadmaps, collaborate with Technology, and deliver projects end-to-end with transparency and strong governance.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of project management and business analysis experience within Financial Services.
• Strong understanding of operational trade flows across multiple product types and venues.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and SQL with relational databases.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Represent Technology in cross-functional, global projects with Legal, Trading, Operations, Compliance and Risk teams.
• Define project scope and translate requirements into roadmaps and deliverables.

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join Susquehanna to work alongside core business teams, traders, technology managers, developers and domain experts to drive and deliver business and technology initiatives across the full trading lifecycle.

You will partner with the business to define business requirements across the front and middle office environments. You will be responsible for evaluating appropriate methodologies (or aspects of methodologies) that best apply to these projects to ensure that they are deployed and implemented according to the needs of the business teams.

You will create and manage project plans and schedules, coordinate activities within Technology, identify potential issues, provide status reporting/updates and facilitate these projects and initiatives through to completion.

• The ideal candidate will have detailed experience in delivering complex technology solutions within one or more of front office, middle and back-office functions.

Responsibilities

• Represent Technology in cross-functional, global projects alongside Legal, Trading, Operations, Compliance and Risk teams and Interact with external counterparties (e.g. trading exchanges, brokers and counterparties) as required.


• Define project scope and solution; Translating requirements into actionable project roadmaps and key deliverables.


• Working closely with stakeholders to ensure transparency and buy-in across the business areas.


• Provide regular concise and informative communication to stakeholders inclusive of project status reports, dashboards and meeting minutes.


• Take end users and senior business project sponsors through the process of defining business requirements for software developments.


• Take ownership of the translation of business requirements into functional specifications.


• Coordinate technology teams to facilitate the execution of deliverables, guiding their activities to ensure project objectives are met.


• Drive prioritisation and resource alignment to ensure timely execution of high-impact initiatives.


• Take a lead role in working with developers and testers to ensure requirements are fulfilled.


• Working with end users during user review and UAT.


• Perform risk management to minimize project risk.


• Documenting and track any open issues for stakeholders and project teams.

Experience

• A minimum of 6 years project management and business analyst experience within Financial Services industry.

• A thorough understanding of operational trade flows (i.e., trade economics, trading platforms, venues and exchanges, operational, legal, compliance and regulatory considerations etc.) across at least 2 or more of Exchange traded Equities, ETFs, Options or Futures products.


• Proven project management and analyst experience delivering key business and technology initiatives within a trading environment, with a demonstrated record of systems delivery participating in all aspects of requirements, design, QA, Support and UAT a production go-live.

• Strong leadership, planning, estimation, and risk management skills with the ability to work independently.

• Excellent communication (both oral and written) and organizational skills.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, SQL and relational databases.

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel; experience utilizing applications such as Visio and Microsoft Project.
