Job summary

Vantage Resources is seeking a Technical Business Analyst for a 12-month hybrid contract in Dublin. You will collaborate with Product Owners, developers and stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements.

Responsibilities include translating needs into functional specs, user stories, process maps and use cases, facilitating workshops, and supporting SDLC activities from initiation to deployment. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar.
• Experience documenting complex business and technical requirements.
• Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Public sector or education/training sector experience would be beneficial.
• Experience with SQL and Azure DevOps would be advantageous.

What's Involved

• Work closely with Product Owners, development teams and stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, process maps and use cases.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews and requirements-gathering sessions.
• Support application development and enhancements throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Support testing activities, including test case preparation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Assist with application troubleshooting, release activities, demonstrations and stakeholder training.

What's Needed

• 5+ years' experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Analyst, Solution Designer or similar.
• Experience gathering and documenting complex business and technical requirements.
• Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Previous public sector or education/training sector experience would be beneficial
• Experience working across both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proficiency in business process modelling, functional specifications and user story development.
• Experience working with technical teams, developers and business stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent industry qualifications.
• Experience with SQL and Azure DevOps would be advantageous.
