Job summary

PartnerRe is seeking a Part-Qualified Accountant to support US GAAP regulatory filings and group-wide financial reporting in a fast-paced international environment in Dublin. You will contribute to the closing process, intercompany accounting, and audits.

The ideal candidate holds ACA/ACCA/CIMA, a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, at least two years in financial services, and strong Excel skills. Fluency in English and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

  • Must be a part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business.
  • Proficient with Excel and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in quarterly closing by preparing and analysing financial data for US GAAP and local GAAP/STAT ledgers.
  • Assist in the preparation of global regulatory filings and financial statements across the PartnerRe Group.
  • Support Corporation Tax and VAT/GST filings for multiple entities.
  • Contribute to internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on key projects.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in financial services (insurance, reinsurance, or finance industry preferred).
  • Strong understanding of multicurrency, multi-entity, and intercompany transactions.
  • Familiarity with GAAP financial reporting, financial statement preparation, and ledger reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
