Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA (Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC) is seeking a Warehouse Technician at its Dunboyne site in Co. Meath. The role focuses on GMP‑driven warehouse activities including goods receipt, sampling, picking, kitting, cycle counting, and outbound shipping, with ERP and GLIMS as core systems.

You will support continuous improvement, assist in quality event investigations as an SME, and own SOPs for a warehouse area while working to uphold safety and GMP compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform goods receipt and sampling per GMP guidelines.
• Execute picking, kitting, and cycle counting for manufacturing materials.
• Oversee outbound shipping and handling of hazardous goods.
• Utilize ERP and GLIMS systems as a key user for data integrity.
• Maintain SOPs for warehouse areas and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support audits and participate as an SME in problem-solving activities.

Job Description A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Technician at our site in Dunboyne, Co. Meath. Our facility in Dunboyne is a premier, state-of-the-art facility that enables and advances our best work. By integrating leading-edge technology with a dynamic, activity-based workspace, the facility supports seamless connection and collaboration within and across teams and functions. Our Dunboyne facility provides Biologics Drug Substance manufacturing for Clinical Supply, Registration, and Commercial Launch.

• Execute Goods Receipting activities.
• Execute Sampling activities using the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) method.
• Execute Picking and Kitting activities for Manufacturing material requests.
• Execute Cycle Counting activities.
• Execute Outbound Shipping and Logistics activities, including dangerous goods.
• Support the packout of Drug Substance.
• Document material offload checks and sampling activities on eLogs.
• Key user of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, COMET (SAP).
• Key user of the Laboratory Management system, GLIMS.
• Support an environment of continuous improvement by participating in and driving innovative activities and ideas in the Material Availability hub to help improve the value stream.
• Support Quality Event Investigations by providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge.
• Act as a Qualified Trainer for Warehouse activities.
• Maintain and support a high standard of Safety and GMP compliance.
• Actively seek out performance improvement opportunities through cross-functional training and experience.
• Own Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for an operational area in the Warehouse and modify training packages as required.
• Specialize in one operational area in the Warehouse: Cell Bank Management, Cold Chain Logistics, Material Management, ERP System Superuser.
• Actively participate in Audits and GEMBAs as an SME and support Shopfloor problem-solving.
• Actively participate in the Material Availability Tier 0 Board and the Material Availability Tier 1 Board.
• Perform any other duties assigned.

What skills you need

• 1-2 years of experience in a Good Manufacturing Production (GMP)-regulated environment.
• Education Level 4 – minimum.
• Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional team.
• Experience using ERP systems at a manufacturing site.
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to promote a culture where Inclusion is supported.
• Forklift license is desirable.
