Job summary

Health Service Executive Bray seeks a Social Care Leader with a degree in Social Care or related field and CORU registration or progress. The role requires two years of team leadership, strong knowledge of social care regulations, and a person-centred approach to delivering care plans.

Fluent English and a full Irish driving licence are essential, with 15 hours per week in a specified purpose part-time arrangement.

Qualifications

• A full Degree in Social Care/Studies or relevant 3rd Level qualification (Irish level 8 equivalent) is essential.
• Proof of CORU registration as a Social Care Worker OR proof of application in progress with CORU.
• Two years management experience with responsibility for a team.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Full, clean Irish driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team within social care provision and coordinating service delivery.
• Developing and implementing support/care plans and PCPs with a person-centred focus.
• Ensuring services are delivered according to each PCP and care plan.
• Utilising knowledge of current legislation relating to the Social Care Sector.

15 hours per week. Qualification required: A full Degree in Social Care/ Studies or relevant 3rd Level Qualification at degree level i.e., Social Work, Psychology is essential, (or relevant qualification received outside the state recognised by NARIC equivalent to Irish level 8). Proof of successful registration with CORU as a Social Care Worker OR proof of application in progress with CORU. Skills/Abilities required of a Team Leader: Two years Management experience with responsibility for a team of employees. Proven knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care Sector. Understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism. Proven ability to work on own initiative. Ability to work alone in coordinating and managing developing services. Proven experience in the implementation and development of support/care plans and PCP’s. Places the needs of the person supported as the key focus in all activities. Delivers support according to the person’s PCP and care plan. Fluent English and excellent communication skills. Full, clean Irish driver’s licence essential with requirement to drive service vehicles.
