Job summary

BWG Foods is seeking a Team Leader for the Frozen Department at Value Centre Cork. The role provides leadership cover, supports daily operations, and drives compliant and efficient service in a busy cash and carry environment.

You will work hands-on, supervise teams, maintain standards, and engage with customers to grow local walk‑in business, ensuring continuity of leadership on a permanent full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and leadership cover in the absence of the Manager/Assistant Manager.

• Support compliance across Food Safety, Health & Safety, Medicinal products, Transport and distribution, and order assembly/route preparation.
• Assist with daily operational planning and execution.
• Support team supervision, coaching and task allocation.
• Engage with customers to grow local walk-in business.

Team Leader – Frozen Department

To introduce a Frozen Department Team Lead role that strengthens operational support, leadership cover, and compliance management within the cash and carry operation, while supporting local walk‑in sales growth.

The Team Lead will support the Manager in the daily running of the site, provide cover during absence, and take a hands‑on approach to support teams, maintain standards, and ensure continuity of leadership on a Permanent Full-Time basis in Value Centre Cork.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide operational and leadership cover in the absence of the Manager/Assistant Manager

• Working in the freezer

• Support compliance across:

  • Food Safety

  • Health & Safety

  • Medicinal products

  • Transport and distribution

  • Order assembly and route preparation

• Assist with daily operational planning and execution

• Support team supervision, coaching and task allocation

• Actively engage with customers and assist in growing local walk‑in business
