Autism A Chara in Bray, Co. Wicklow, is seeking a Team Leader (Specific Purpose) for a day service. The role is 15 hours per week and requires leadership of a small team, shift work including evenings and weekends, and a hands-on approach to care planning and service delivery.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree, possess management experience, and have a strong understanding of autism, PCPs, and regulatory requirements, with a full Irish driving licence.

Qualifications

• A full degree in Social Care/Studies or relevant 3rd level qualification (Social Work, Psychology).
• Two years management experience with responsibility for a team.
• Experience implementing and developing PCPs and care plans.
• Availability for shifts including evenings, weekends, and nights; driving service vehicles.
• Permission to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day service team on shift schedules.
• Coordinate and develop services and PCPs.
• Deliver support according to each person’s PCP and care plan.
• Communicate clearly with people supported and the team.
• Ensure compliance with current social care regulations.

Essential criteria for the position of Team Leader:

• A full Degree in Social Care/ Studies Or Relevant 3rd Level Qualification at degree level i.e.; Social Work, Psychology is essential
• Two years Management experience with responsibility for a team of employees
• Proven experience in the implementation and development of support/care plans and PCP’s
• Availability to work shifts on a rota basis including evenings and weekends and waking night duty shifts
• Full, clean Irish driving licence (manual) essential with requirement to drive service vehicles
• Permission to work in Ireland essential

Qualifications required:

• Places the needs of the person supported as the key focus in all activities
• Delivers support according to the person’s PCP and care plan
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills
• Full, clean Irish driving licence (manual) essential with requirement to drive service vehicles
