Job summary

Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) is recruiting a Team Leader for Kilcullen Community, The Bridge. The role leads a residential staff team, supports residents and their families, and ensures a high standard of care and governance.

You will hold a Level 7 QQI and BA in Social Care Studies (or equivalent), with 2+ years in management and 3+ years with vulnerable adults. A full driving licence is essential; Garda vetting and police clearance apply.

Qualifications

  • Hold a minimum of a Level 7 QQI on the framework and BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
  • At least 2 years management experience at a similar level of responsibility.
  • Three years' experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to social care within disability services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills; proficient IT skills including MS Office and collaboration tools; full driving licence.

Person In Charge Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) supports people with physical/intellectual disabilities and autism. CCoI operates Residential and Day Services across 15 locations, in which residents and day-attendees are supported to live an ordinary life, a life like any other. We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader for our Residential Service. The position requires a high degree of understanding and commitment to the residents and to Camphill Communities of Ireland. The prime consideration at all times must be for the welfare and wellbeing of the residents. This position requires a high degree of professionalism. Confidentiality with regard to residents and staff is most important. Residential services are provided to people with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, physical and sensory disabilities and also those on the autism spectrum. The centre has capacity to provide full-time residential services for a maximum of 15 adults, male and female, and to provide respite for one adult. Residents are supported by social care staff, care assistants and short-term co-workers (volunteers). Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams. A full drivers licence is an essential requirement.
