Brightwater Recruitment seeks an experienced Global Mobility Tax Director to advise multinational clients on employment tax, social security and personal tax issues linked to cross-border assignments and remote working.
You will work across a network of countries, shaping mobility strategies and guiding on tax equalisation, compliance, and cross-border structuring. This role offers direct client contact, fast-paced environments and opportunities to lead the practice’s growth.
Most tax roles keep you looking at numbers on a screen. This one puts you at the centre of how multinational businesses actually move their people around the world.
This exciting Top 10 firm is experiencing consistent growth and is now looking for an experienced Global Mobility Tax Director to join the team. The demand is real: multinational clients are managing increasingly complex, cross border work forces, and this hire reflects that growth directly.
You will work across a network of more than 50 countries, advising organisations on the tax side of internationally mobile employees. Expect genuine variety, direct client contact, and a firm that moves at pace rather than getting bogged down in process.
Advising clients on employment tax, social security and personal tax issues linked to cross border assignments and remote working. Helping shape global mobility and workforce tax strategies for major multinational clients. Giving guidance on tax equalisation, tax protection and compliance frameworks. Keeping a close eye on employment tax across multiple jurisdictions, and catching payroll or permanent establishment risks early. Working alongside legal, immigration and tax colleagues to solve problems as one team. Delivering training and thought leadership, both internally and for clients. Building client relationships that genuinely shape where the practice goes next.
At least 6 years in employment tax, global mobility or expatriate tax, from a Big 4 or Top 10 practice or an in house mobility function. A professional qualification such as CTA, AITI, or equivalent. Solid working knowledge of PAYE, social security coordination and cross border assignment structuring. The confidence to manage client relationships directly and communicate clearly under pressure.
This firm has a clear growth plan for its Global Mobility and Employment Tax practice, which means genuine opportunities to move up, not a long queue waiting for someone else to leave. You'll get structured development, international project and secondment opportunities, ongoing technical, market and leadership development.
If you're ready to build real international experience and move faster than a typical tax career allows, this is worth a conversation.
