Job summary

Maples Group in Dublin is seeking a Tax Associate to join our award-winning Irish Tax Group. This role offers exposure to global clients including financial institutions, funds and corporates, with opportunities to develop technical tax expertise.

The successful candidate will work in a busy, collaborative team delivering market leading tax advice on corporate tax, VAT, international tax structures and tax disputes, with a strong emphasis on knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Between one to five years' post qualification experience.
  • Experience as a tax adviser from a leading firm in Ireland or the UK.
  • Outstanding academics.
  • Excellent drafting skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and take an active part in sharing knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Part of the busy, collaborative and innovative tax team based in Dublin working with partners and other associates
  • Working within the group to provide market leading tax advice on a diverse range of matters including corporate tax, financial transactions, VAT and tax disputes
  • Advising on international transactions involving public companies, international banks and investment institutions
  • Advising innovative Irish companies and high net worth individuals
  • Collaborating with Maples tax professionals based in Ireland and Europe on international tax structures and developments
  • Assisting on multidisciplinary teams drawn from the Maples Group locations across the globe including market leading funds, corporate and finance lawyers in many different jurisdictions
  • Actively participating in our regular knowhow, knowledge sharing and practice development meetings
  • Assisting in the development of Irish, EU and international tax through consultations with industry bodies and policymakers
