Job summary

Azets Ireland is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the management team in delivering tax assignments across income tax, CGT, corporate tax, VAT, and diverse advisory work.

The role emphasizes compliance across multiple tax heads and coordination with audit and company secretarial teams. A Tax Consultant (AITI CTC) qualification and at least three years in a top Irish practice are essential. Location: Sandyford, Ireland.

Qualifications

• Assist with delivery of a broad cross sector of assignments, in particular in relation to the compliance function.
• Assist with the supervision of junior team members as required.
• Manage multiple tax assignments concurrently and use time/resources efficiently.
• Liaise with firm staff across disciplines to support the tax department.
• A qualification as a Tax Consultant (AITI CTC) is essential.
• At least three years’ experience in a professional tax team within a top 20 practice in Ireland is essential.
• Demonstrable understanding of multiple tax heads.
• Strong technical competence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job description

This assistant manager role assists the management team with the delivery of tax assignments and the delivery of high-quality assignments across multiple tax heads, within the required timescales.

• Diverse range of tax advisory work, for example, relating to succession planning, buying and selling businesses & properties, Revenue interactions, cross-border VAT queries etc.

Role specification

• Assist the Partners/Managers with the delivery of a broad cross sector of assignments, in particular in relation to the compliance function.


• Assist with the supervision of junior team members as required.


• Assist with the management of multiple tax assignments concurrently and ensure the most effective and efficient use of time and resources at all times. Seek guidance from immediate manager as required.


• Proactively liaise and build effective working relationships with firm staff in all disciplines (audit, company secretarial etc.) to facilitate and support the tax department.


• A qualification as a Tax Consultant (AITI CTC) is essential


• At least three year’s working experience in a professional tax team within a top 20 practice in Ireland essential


• Demonstrable understanding of multiple tax heads


• Strong technical competence


• Proven ability to work on a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors
