This is a broad tax role with a strong mix of compliance and advisory work. You will take ownership of year end tax charges for the group and preparation of corporation tax returns, while also supporting the wider tax reporting and compliance obligations across the business. The role works closely with the Tax Manager, advising internal teams on tax efficient approaches to the group's strategy, with support from external advisers as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post related tax journals and update tax accounting disclosures in the financial statements across all entities.
  • Support tax input for the annual budget process.
  • Manage other corporate tax matters in line with statutory deadlines, including preliminary tax payments, Form 46G submissions, Transfer Pricing documentation, and R&D tax credit claims, liaising with external advisers and internal project and finance teams.
  • Own the timely preparation and accurate submission of VAT, PSWT, RCT and Annual VAT RTD returns, along with payment of liabilities, maximising use of BI reporting tools.
  • Support the Tax Manager in providing tax advice to internal stakeholders across Finance, Legal, HR and Treasury on topics such as acquisitions, JV arrangements, business restructuring and financing.
What We're Looking For:
  • Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualified, with a Level 8 Honours degree in Accountancy, Business or a related discipline
  • Big 4 qualified with 1-3 years' PQE in industry or practice
  • Strong technical grounding in Irish tax legislation
  • A self starter who works well independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment
