Job summary

Harvey Nash is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with hands-on Public Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug infrastructure as code and related software for compute and storage platforms.

The role requires 3–5 years of cloud experience, strong networking knowledge, and a track record with IaC in Agile environments. Hybrid work with two days in the office per week is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience with Public Cloud: AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Hands-on networking, on-prem and cloud networking concepts.
• Experience deploying, managing, and debugging Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs infrastructure as code and cloud compute/storage implementations.
• Develops software/tools to support design, infra and technology platforms.
• Contributes to hardware compatibility considerations and platform optimization.

Job description

With Public Cloud experience and expertise (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs infrastructure as code, software defined compute & storage implementation, and software programs for enhancements and new products. Develops software and tools in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, cloud-based and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.

Skills:

• Public Cloud 101 level working experience, hands on: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
• Networking understanding, how to, both on-prem and with Public Clouds
• Infrastructure as code (IaaC), hands on, working experience deploying, managing, supporting, debugging.
• Deep technical knowledge of troubleshooting compute & storage infrastructure within Public Cloud (specific to Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
• Managing services running in Public Cloud at scale. Regional, Zonal, and world wide scenarios.
• Working within SPRINT / Agile models with daily stand up and weekly SPRINT process (SCRUM, etc.)
• 3-5 years of experience with the above skill areas
• Hybrid working per week in office expectations of 2-days

Education:

Real world work experience with Azure, AWS, Google Cloud. Public Cloud Certifications, Systems Engineering, Networking, Infrastructure, AI, related degrees and studies. Associates &/or 4-year degree or higher.
