Qualifications

A recognised qualification in the field of intellectual disability or a FETAC level 5 course is an advantage.
A QQI Level 5 or higher is desirable.
A full clean manual Driving Licence is an essential requirement. Class D1 may be required.
Experience of working with people with an intellectual disability/autism/complex needs is desirable, induction and training will be provided.
Fluency in verbal and written English is essential and proficiency in IT.

Responsibilities

Support the person in all aspects of daily living, promoting independence and development of skills.
Assist people with personal care, meals, and related daily living tasks.
Contribute to participation in ordinary life of the community through inclusive and creative thinking.
