Job summary

Corlann – Cruachan Adult Services seeks Social Care Workers to support adults across Strokestown, Tulsk, Elphin, and surrounding areas. Roles involve assisting in residential, respite, day settings, or in community/home-based support, with a flexible, rostered schedule.

Staff contribute to person-centred plans, promote independence, and encourage community participation. Driving and CORU registration are essential, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Be registered in the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board - CORU (evidence required).
• Fluency in verbal and written English is essential.
• Full clean manual driving licence; class D1 licence may be required; assistance for obtaining it may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with a person-centred plan and promote independence.
• Encourage community participation and inclusive activities.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team and sometimes lead shifts.
• Provide advocacy and act as a key worker to liaise with families and services.
