Job summary

CORLANN – WEST REGION in Ireland is seeking Permanent Part-Time Support Workers (Care Assistant Grade) for Strokestown and surrounding areas. The role supports people with daily living, promoting independence and development of skills.

Roles include personal care, meals, household tasks and active participation in the community; a driving licence is required. A panel may be formed for future vacancies within Strokestown Adult Services.

Qualifications

• A recognised qualification in intellectual disability or a FETAC level 5 course is an advantage. QQI Level 5 or higher desirable.
• A full clean manual Driving Licence is essential; Class D1 licence may be required.
• Experience with intellectual disability/autism/complex needs desirable; induction and training provided.
• Flexibility, teamwork, patience and a sense of humour are valued.
• Fluency in English and IT skills are essential.
