Job summary

Corlann – West Region provides community-based, person-centred services for people with intellectual disabilities from Deerpark Services, Ballinasloe, Co Galway. The role focuses on supporting daily living, independence and social inclusion in the community.

Candidates should have QQI Level 5 or higher and a clean manual driving licence; English fluency and IT skills are essential. Full-time posts total 78 hours per fortnight with evenings/weekends on roster.

Qualifications

• Good general education and a qualification in intellectual disability or QQI Level 5 is desirable.
• A full clean manual driving licence is essential; Class D1 may be required.
• Experience with intellectual disability/autism/complex needs is preferred; induction/training provided.
• Fluency in English and IT proficiency are required.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in all aspects of daily living, promoting independence and development of skills.
• Assist with personal care, meals, and household tasks.
• Encourage participation in ordinary community activities and inclusive activities.
• Work as part of a team, maintaining a flexible roster including evenings and weekends.
