Job summary

Positive Futures in Dundalk is seeking a Care Assistant (Disability Services) to support people with a learning disability, acquired brain injury or autism. You will provide daily living assistance, personal care and help maintain accurate records, with emphasis on dignity and independence.

You must have at least six months' paid or voluntary care experience and a valid driving licence. You will work as part of a team, using person-centred approaches and documenting care plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support for another person (paid or voluntary).
• Full, valid UK, Irish, EU or EEA driving licence.
• Warmth, patience, reliability and respect for each person’s choices, dignity and independence.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, work as part of a team and complete accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, person-centred support with daily living, personal care and medication.
• Assist with money management and community connections; maintain accurate digital records.
